The dream of many Counter-Strike players is finally becoming reality: a real StatTrak™ Hit Counter.
Tridos Design has taken on the challenge of bringing this iconic in-game feature into the real world. What previously existed only in digital form is now available as a fully functional counter in real life, turning a piece of gaming culture into something you can actually hold in your hands.
I’m personally very happy about this, because alongside Copper and Brass I’m currently heavily involved in running and supporting two other companies, and I had actually been thinking about designing a counter like this myself. That made the surprise even bigger and more positive when I saw the first pictures from Mikus, the owner of Tridos Design. He’s the same guy who designed the Unicorn Speedloader Adapters, so he clearly knows how to develop and bring new products to life.
So, without beating around the bush, let’s get straight to the StatTrak™ Hit Counter!
Here it is mounted on my Arcturus SBR:

But let’s start right at the beginning—with the packaging.
This is how the StatTrak™ is delivered:

It comes in a high-quality hard shell case with a matching logo, which I find especially impressive. Tridos actually managed to get permission to use the name! Big respect to Mikus, because this makes it a truly authentic StatTrak™ Hit Counter, not just a “Kill Counter” or “Hit Counter”—the real deal, not some clone in StatTrak style.
As soon as I opened the case, the excitement really kicked in!

Alongside the StatTrak™, the package also includes two mounts (one for M-Lok, the other for Picatinny rails), all the necessary cables, and even a patch. Mikus kindly included a PEQ box—rendered non-functional for legal reasons here in Germany—so I could have a power source directly on the handguard. Normally, you could just use your LiPo balancer for this, but I really liked the PEQ solution, since my Arcturus already had a PEQ box dummy mounted exactly where I needed it!

By the way, you don’t even get a patch of this quality with actual guns anymore. The fact that the shape is cut directly into the foam, so the patch doesn’t just lie loose in the case, really shows how much care and passion went into creating this product.

So I don’t have to write myself into a tangle or confuse you with my electrical kNoWledGe, Tridos provides a perfect wiring guide for the StatTrak™ via YouTube.
Here’s the video: Installing StatTrak™ on AEG Airsoft Replica
I was a bit nervous at first, since my device wasn’t wired yet either, but with the included heat-shrink connectors and Mikus’ video, even electrical beginners like me can handle it without any problem. In fact, it might even look nicer than if you soldered it yourself.
The StatTrak™ Hit Counter in Detail

I’d say it’s perfectly executed. As I mentioned earlier, I’ve spent countless hours and put endless thought into designing a real-life StatTrak™ Counter myself. So I know just how many small decisions need to be made—balancing quality, cost, features, design, and construction—to bring a device like this to life.
After quickly watching the wiring video on YouTube, I installed the counter on my Arcturus AEG. The result speaks for itself:

I’ll probably shorten the cable a little later, but there are plenty of heat‑shrink connectors included. They actually make the whole process so easy that it almost starts to become fun.
But now, let’s get into the details of the StatTrak™ Counter!

In addition to the standard kill display, there’s also a Kill/Death Ratio screen. Navigating to it is super simple: just press both buttons on the bottom at the same time once, and you’ll move to the next screen.

And that’s basically it. Here you can see the statistics for a single game as well as the total count over time, along with the battery voltage— in my case, a CR123A inside the PEQ box dummy.
Flip to the next page, and you’ll find the settings. There’s also a video for this, so I didn’t have to photograph every single screen—each photo would take about 45 minutes anyway, and Mikus explains it far better in the video than I could in text here.

So far, so good—but what could be more Counter-Strike than a P90 with a skin? 🙂
The famous Copper and Brass Urban Camo P90 with StatTrak™

I couldn’t resist the temptation to build the ultimate P90 with a skin and StatTrak™!
Did you know that this exact P90 was the inspiration for the DYE i5 CB Urban Camo? If you’re interested, feel free to check it out here: DYE i5 CB Urban Camo
I’m still not entirely sure whether I’ll use the StatTrak™ on the P90 or on the Brushless Arcturus, but for the P90, I’d just need to drill a small hole in the side of the body so the cable can run back to the LiPo.
It’s actually super simple, since the upper receiver has enough space inside the body for the cable to fit. But those are details I’ll handle later.
By the way, if you want to create the same skin yourself, you can find the stencils here!
Speaking of details, here’s a close-up of the StatTrak™ on the P90:

In this picture, you can also clearly see the mount for Picatinny rails.
My Verdict on the StatTrak™ by Tridos Design
With the StatTrak™ Hit Counter, Tridos Design has achieved something that many Counter-Strike fans have been waiting and hoping for: bringing an iconic in-game element into the real world in a clean and well-thought-out way. The result doesn’t feel like a simple gimmick—it’s a genuine, carefully designed product. High-quality packaging, useful accessories, easy installation, and a counter that looks and functions very close to the original make it stand out.
What’s particularly impressive is how many small details are spot on. From the hard-shell case to the patch, the mounting options, and the straightforward wiring, it’s clear that someone with experience and passion developed this. Especially if you’ve ever thought about building such a device yourself, you quickly realize how many right decisions had to be made to get it just right.
For airsoft players and Counter-Strike fans alike, the StatTrak™ Counter is more than just an accessory. It brings a piece of gaming culture onto your own airsoft gun and delivers that perfectly nostalgic nerd moment when you can track kills and deaths in-game.
In short, if you want to give your airsoft gear a real Counter-Strike vibe, the StatTrak™ by Tridos Design is likely exactly what you’ve been waiting for.
The best part: StatTrak™ Counters are currently still in stock, and you can get them directly from Tridos. Shipping within the EU is fast and hassle-free, with no customs fees!

I haven’t created wallpapers in far too long, so it’s even better that this project just naturally provides such great motifs! 🙂
